The Calgary International Airport at Disaster Alley

A fun family event this Saturday, May 5

For the eighth year and as part of the airport's commitment to the safety and security of its guests and employees, the Calgary Airport Authority will once again be participating in Disaster Alley this Saturday, May 5. An annual free and fun event for families and individuals, it takes place in Calgary every May as part of Emergency Preparedness Week.

As Calgary’s largest preparedness event, Disaster Alley showcases over 30 exhibitors such as the Calgary Fire Department, Calgary Search and Rescue Association and the Authority. On display from the Airport Authority will be a Crash Truck, a Vammas, an Emergency Trailer and temporary emergency shelter. Our exhibit is a fan favourite as the equipment we bring is not usually seen by the public. We even require a police escort to and from the Airport due to the size of our equipment!

The Calgary Airport Authority would like to invite all of Team YYC, and their families to come visit at Disaster Alley this Saturday, May 5 at McMahon Stadium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information click here.
