Substation 58 is removed

Recently, The Calgary Airport Authority worked with ENMAX to remove Substation 58, which was located beside the Services Building. It was removed to make room for a new DTB high-speed transfer switch (13.2 kilovolt), which will be installed later this year to bring the airport more reliable power.

"The smooth removal was a result of collaboration and team work between Tenant Development, Electrical, Communications, Infrastructure and ENMAX, our business partner," says Hosen Sarraf Tehrani, Project Manager. "Next, we build the reinforced concrete pad for the new DTB high-speed transfer switch."
