Improved YYC Parking: new $99.95 weekly parkade rate and EV parking coming soon

Summary: A promotional weekly rate, streamlined rates and Electric Vehicle parking will provide more convenience for our guests.

It’s convenient, close and covered - weekly parking in YYC’s parkades is more affordable and available for all types of vehicles. Guests have asked for these changes, and we’re delivering.

What’s Changing on Nov. 4?

  • Promotional weekly parking rate: as a special fall promotion, the weekly rate in long term parking (including overheight lot) will go down to $99.95/week plus taxes.
  • Streamlined short term parking rates: rates in the short term parking parkade are now streamlined at $5 per 30 minutes.

With these changes we hope to encourage guests to consider parking in our convenient covered parkades. Please share this news with your friends and family as they make travel plans for the holidays. The maximum daily rates for both short term and long term remain the same, as does all pricing in our Economy Lot.

Coming Soon:

  • New EV parking: four generic and eight Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations will be arriving on level four of P1 in November. Electricity is included with paid parking, available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Our new online parking reservation system is set to launch in 2020, offering us the opportunity to market our parking options to more guests.

Your new improved parking policy does absolutely nothing for the environment, shamefull. Drive by the cell phone parking area and observe 100's of idling vehicles waiting to pick up friends and family. They should be inside the airport shopping, snacking, or, sightseeing. Give theman incentive to get out and walk around and enjoy this beautiful facility they paid for.. Give short time parkers a free half hour and $5/30min thereafter.... that's a cheap, reasonable compromise. ... JB

To echo the previous comment, YYC used to offer a free 30min parking so that people could go shop while waiting for loved ones. Also other people also took advantage of this by just coming to the airport shops to shop without even dropping off or picking up passengers. It seems that YYC retail is suffering since so many stores have closed, maybe the paid parking is a deterrent since most malls in Calgary offer free parking. I wish 30min free parking could come back and I suspect it would improve retail sales for sure. Sounds like a win for the retail sales, a win for the public, and a win for the environment since all the idling would end.
