#WhiteHatWednesday: Amarjit
Each #WhiteHatWednesday, we will highlight one of the awesome members of Team YYC. This week, read on to learn more about Amarjit, Operator, Jugo Juice.
Twenty years ago, Amarjit immigrated to Canada and started working at an airport Relay store as a cashier. After earning her Business Administration diploma while working her way up, she purchased her first airport Jugo Juice in 2006. Her big dream, though, was to have a store in every concourse - and that dream was realized in 2016 when she opened her fifth store in the International Terminal here at YYC.
With 50 employees whipping up 500,000 smoothies a year, Amarjit attributes a lot of her success to great customer service.
"The first thing I train my staff to do is smile," she says. "It doesn't cost a thing to make a customer's first contact with us welcoming. And then I teach them to listen."
This generous, busy mom of two (who also has a Masters in Zoology) likes to read and listen to music when she has a minute to herself.
