YYC’s White Hat Volunteers

Vivian Crandall

Our featured volunteer this month is Vivian Crandall, a 21-year veteran to the White Hat program, who volunteers Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Vivian was born and raised in Edmonton until her job transferred her to Calgary in 1959. Since then, she has been an active member of the community and has volunteered for the Alberta Ballet, her local church and special events such as the Grey Cup and Folk Festival—just to name a few!

When asked what her favourite part of her shift at YYC is, Vivian says assisting the passengers and catching up with other volunteers is the best. Most importantly, Vivian says she feels very proud to be part of the airport “family”. Well, Vivian, the airport family is very lucky to have you. Thanks for your great work!

Western Hospitality Update
As February draws to a close, we are very excited to see what spring will bring! The White Hat Volunteers have been busy conducting White Hat Ceremonies and escorting VIP’s through the terminal; an exciting time for most at YYC. In March, we will be hosting one of four recognition events to honour our volunteers and are busy preparing for these festivities.
