YYC’s White Hat Volunteers

Erwin Unrau

March 26, 2013   |
Erwin Unrau
This month's featured volunteer is Erwin Unrau who will be celebrating his 10th year with the White Hat program! Erwin is a retired math and science teacher who enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, going to church and camping in his spare time.

When asked what the highlight of his shift at YYC has been, Erwin says it’s the perspective he’s gained from meeting so many people from all over the world. Erwin also enjoys the people he’s met at YYC. Friends, he says, whether here at the airport or at the coffee shop near home, are one of the most important things in life.
I think we could all agree with that. Thanks for your amazing work Erwin!

Western Hospitality Update:
March is a very exciting month in the Western Hospitality office as renovations have begun on the new volunteer room! As our number of volunteers continues to grow, our current room is bursting at its seams and we are very excited to see the results of the renovations. This month, we also honour our volunteers with a very special recognition event for the first quarter of 2013. We are looking forward it!
