Name: Judi Bazant
Shift: Thursday (5 p.m. - 9 p.m.)

How long have you been volunteering at YYC?
14 years. I started volunteering in 1997 and I took two years off and decided to come back.

Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I went to college and after graduating and getting married, my husband and I started a construction company together.
I recently broke my leg so unfortunately I have to be away from helping people at the airport for a few weeks, but I can’t wait until I get to come back.

What is your favourite thing about your shift at YYC?
I quite often work at the international Arrivals area so I get to meet a lot of different people from all over the world. I love to greet them at the gates and answer their questions. I also love meeting the VIP’s that come through the airport.

What has been the highlight of volunteering at YYC?
There is not a particular moment that stands out to me; however, I love working with my co-workers. I volunteer with so many great people and they make my shift interesting. Working with them is truly exciting for me.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy meeting up with my friends and spending time with them. Being around other people is what makes me happy.
