Safety Spotlight Four – Hazard Reporting
For the Canadian Airports Safety Week (CASW) spotlight four, we’re highlighting an important airport practice that contributes to ensuring safe operations at YYC Calgary International Airport. Today, we’re talking about Hazard Reporting.
In addition to our commitment in making our airport a safe facility, YYC also aims to ensure that all of our airport employees and guests have a positive experience when using our facility. A significant part of creating an enhanced — and safe — experience is the timely reporting of hazards.
Some examples of common airport hazards include:
- Wet floors
- Malfunctioning equipment such as escalators
- Smoking in non-designated areas
