Notice: US and Intl CATSA Screening Outage at YYC

2:30 p.m. update:

This morning CATSA experienced an outage of its screening equipment at D and E screening points, which resulted in delays at domestic screening locations as well.

A total of eight U.S. bound flights were delayed as a result of the outage. At the peak of the delays, U.S. guests at E waited 75 minutes in line. Delays at C, as a result of D’s closure had 30 minute waits.

Currently, all screening locations have reopened using contingency procedures to screen guests and the cause of the outage is still under investigation by CATSA and YYC.

Thank you to all Crew for their work in managing and communicating this outage, including many who did front line guest communications, including handing out water and snacks.
