Primary Inspection Kiosks land at YYC tomorrow

Tomorrow we welcome 36 new Primary Inspection Kiosks (PIK) units in the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) hall and say farewell to our Automated Border Control (ABC) units. PIK units will go live for arriving guests from international and U.S. destinations after months of work by The Calgary Airport Authority and CBSA.

Between May 22 and June 4, the remaining PIK units will come online in stages for a total of 80 PIK units.

Longer lines and delays may occur until the projected completion date of June 4 and Customer Care Ambassadors will be assisting arriving guests.

We are reminding everyone that downloading CanBorder eDeclaration application can speed up the process by up to 50 per cent, as guests complete the declaration on their smartphone (available in airplane mode).

We have also developed bilingual videos to explain the process that can be shared with your family and friends. Click here for English version. Click here for French version.
