ENMAX is removing Substation 58 on Thursday, June 27

ENMAX is continuing its utility work to remove Substation 58 on Thursday, June 27 from 10 p.m. to Friday, June 28 at 2 a.m. (four hours). One crane will be brought in to remove the Sub 58. As a result, the road to the Airport Corporate Centre (ACC) west loading dock will be blocked during these hour. One lane will remain open to and from the ACC while crane is mobilized. The area will be delineated by barricade and YYC escorts will monitor access in and out of the ACC.

When the building is lifted by the crane there will be no access to or from the ACC. This will take approximately 30 minutes.

Substation 58, which is located beside the Services Building, is being removed to make room for a new DTB high-speed transfer switch, which will be installed later this year to bring the airport more reliable power.
