Robert from CATSA helping passengers Fly Healthy
Robert, CATSA’s Checkpoint Manager, recognizes the importance to remain focused on the goal of protecting the travelling public. He works hard to keep YYC both secure and healthy by overseeing checkpoints. He also helps reunite lost items with their owners and finds customer service solutions.
“We’re adapting quickly and implementing changes such as physical distancing, face coverings, increased workspace cleaning and, of course, the use of litres of hand sanitizer!”
He understands how the change might be overwhelming to some travellers and hopes to be a calming presence during a somewhat chaotic time.
“I take on an attitude that says, ‘what can I do to make this easier for you?’ Sometimes it involves an explanation of why a requirement exists, sometimes it’s a reassuring set of smiling eyes and a soft verbal tone.”
