A virtual, behind-the-scenes look at YYC

Every September, Doors Open YYC invites Calgarians into spaces not typically available to most people, but this year they made the hard the decision to cancel. Instead they created a virtual tour of the most requested facility each and every year, YYC Calgary International Airport.
It was our pleasure to partner with Doors Open YYC for this initiative. Their team captured some behind-the-scenes footage of our state-of-the-art baggage handling system. Here's a sneak peek of the video that will be released tonight!

As a White Hatter, 14 years in January, thank you for this virtual tour of the baggage area. I did the tour and it was so nice to revisit it again. COVID-19 has taken away something so many of us were proud to do and miss, and that is volunteering at YYC. I’ve sent this video to my colleagues on my Wednesday 11-3 shift. Thank you, thank you!

I am a proud White Hat Volunteer of 3 years this past March. I miss volunteering at YYC; helping our clients navigate through the airport, interacting with fellow White Hatters and airport members. I sure hope one day to return.

I had not had the opportunity to tour the new baggage system, so am quite pleased to have this opportunity. I understand it to be quite fast and world class. Thank you.
