Non-Passenger Security (NPS) B Screening trial starts April 20

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is requiring all member states (including Canada) to conduct 100 percent security screening of non-passengers.

In order to reach this goal, Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) will trial the efficiency of different security screening models. The trial starts April 20 until Dec. 31 at Non-Passenger Screening-B. The goal of the trial will help find the most efficient solution going forward.

During the trial, moving through Security at NPS-B may take extra time, so please arrive early. Non-passengers who are exempt from security screening will continue to be exempt at these checkpoints during the trial period.

For more information, see the attached CATSA fact sheets.
