Government of Alberta announces state of public health emergency

Summary: Starting Sept. 20, new public health measures take effect

Food and beverage tenants at YYC can participate in Restrictions Exemption Program. Guests and staff may see additional signage and experience a new process before being seated in a restaurant, lounge or café in-terminal.

Retail tenants now have two options:

  1. Prohibited liquor service after 10 p.m. and liquor consumption by 11 p.m.; or
  2. Participate in the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or negative test result and masking to be open regular hours

Guests and staff over 12 years of age wishing to eat or drink at restaurants, lounges and cafes will need to provide:

  • proof of vaccination, or
  • proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours of service, or
  • documentation of a medical exemption

The attached poster has been provided to retailers participation in the exemption program.

In addition to the exemption program, the ACCC Executive Boardroom and Silver Dart meeting room bookings are on pause for Team YYC until further notice.
