New passenger boarding bridge training
In true YYC fashion, multiple groups across The Authority and its airline partners collaborated to develop and deliver a new passenger boarding bridge training program. This program focuses on operator and guest safety while addressing operational efficiencies and enhanced learning.
All existing bridge trainers and operators – including those who have already done previous training - will be required to complete the new online course by Jan. 31, 2024, to retain current user certification validity.
Going forward, for new bridge access requests or renewal, the following will be required:
(1) Online course certificate of completion.
(2) Completed PBB In-Person Competency Assessment
(3) Bridge Access request form
Users will be given a three-year bridge operating validity from the earlier date between online and hands-on certification dates, trainers will be given one-year bridge operating validity from the earlier date between online and hands-on certification dates.
