An update on airport access fees

Last week, The Authority announced changes to its airport access fees, specifically inbound and outbound taxi fees. These changes, which will come into effect on Jan. 15, 2024, bring the combined rates for taxis in line with combined ride-share fees and create a level playing field for taxi and ride-share companies operating on the airport campus.

Effective Jan. 15, 2024, we are introducing a $4.00 inbound (drop-off) fee for all taxis arriving at YYC and reducing the outbound (pick-up) taxi fee from $5.00 to $4.50. These fees are paid for by passengers and collected from taxi and ride-share operators by The Authority to be reinvested into transportation infrastructure, roadway maintenance and campus and facility improvements.

The inbound fee will be applied across the airport campus, while the outbound fee will be applicable to passengers being picked up from the terminal. The campus boundaries include Aero Drive/11th Street and adjoining properties on the west, down to McKnight Blvd, to McCall Way and adjoining properties, and the terminal.
